DSS / PRIVACY POLICY
YOUR INFORMATION.
CLEAR EXPLANATIONS.
How the new DSS website handles enquiries, booking services and applications.
1. Contact and responsibility
Delta Survival School S.a.r.l., registered office: 52 rue Marie Adelaide, 2128 Luxembourg, is the DSS provider named in this notice. For questions about information handled by DSS, contact contact@deltasurvivalschool.com or +352 661 894 313.
2. Website enquiries
The contact page prepares a message in your email application. You choose whether to send it. Information you send is received by DSS through email. It may include your name, contact details, programme interest and message. Avoid including medical information or detailed sensitive information in an initial enquiry.
3. Bookings and payments
Course booking buttons open a vcita calendar, including within an embedded window. That service presents available dates and its booking journey. DSS uses Stripe for website payments. Booking and payment providers handle information under the arrangements and notices relevant to the transaction. This website does not contain its own payment-card entry form.
The precise information received by DSS, providers’ roles, international transfers and retention arrangements need to be verified against the connected accounts before this notice is final.
4. Hell Weekend applications
The application asks for applicant and contact details, emergency contact information, availability, fitness, experience, motivation, health declarations, acknowledgements and a signature. Answers remain in the open page while you complete the steps. Submitting sends the completed application to DSS through Wix Forms; the form includes signature capture or upload.
A submitted application is not merely an email draft. Wix processes and stores submission data for the connected site. DSS must confirm who may access it, the retention schedule and the process for deleting unsuccessful applications.
Health information requires a specific review. The final notice and form must explain the applicable GDPR legal basis and special-category condition, why each field is needed and the effect of withholding it. This draft does not assume that a general acknowledgement supplies that basis.
5. Readiness self-check
The self-check runs within the current page. Its answers are not saved to an account or database by that tool and reset when the page reloads. It is an educational reflection tool.
6. Hosting, fonts and embedded services
Wix hosts this website and may process technical connection information. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Loading an embedded booking calendar connects your browser to the booking provider. See cookies and external services for the current implementation and the remaining provider checks.
The source code does not add a separate advertising pixel or analytics tracker. This statement does not claim that Wix or external services never use cookies or collect technical information.
7. Purposes and lawful basis
We use enquiry and booking information to respond to your request and take steps towards, or perform, the service contract. We retain financial records where a legal obligation applies. Where records are necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, the relevant basis and retention criteria must be documented. Optional marketing and media use require separate arrangements; accepting course terms does not provide blanket consent for these purposes.
Health declarations require an additional applicable condition under Article 9 of the GDPR. The form and this notice must explain that condition before the application process is finalised. General acceptance of terms does not resolve this requirement. A future review system will require an update before it begins collecting feedback.
8. Storage and access
Proposed retention schedule for launch. Unsuccessful applications: delete within 90 days of the selection decision. Health declarations: delete within 3 months after training. Enquiry emails that do not become bookings: delete within 12 months after the last contact. Financial records follow the applicable statutory retention period. Non-health booking and attendance records, signatures and media permissions still require a separate confirmed schedule.
Relevant information may be kept longer where an incident, legal claim or specific legal obligation requires it. Any exception must identify the information needed, restrict its use and be reviewed when the reason ends. These periods are proposed business rules, not a claim that automatic deletion is already configured.
Application access is intended for Zurab and authorised DSS staff who need it for selection, administration or participant safety, together with necessary service providers. Before launch, DSS must check actual account permissions, provider arrangements, overseas processing and the manual or automated deletion process.
9. Your rights
Depending on the processing and applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to certain processing. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Requests may require an appropriate identity check.
Contact contact@deltasurvivalschool.com. You can also seek guidance or make a complaint to Luxembourg’s National Data Protection Commission (CNPD).
10. Updates
This is version 1 of the prelaunch privacy draft, prepared on 16 October 2026. The final notice must be checked against the actual website configuration and business arrangements before launch.
EMAIL UPDATES.
When you subscribe, we collect your email address, optional first name and recorded consent through Wix Forms and Contacts. We use these details to send DSS training dates, expedition news and practical preparedness updates on the basis of your consent. You may withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by contacting contact@deltasurvivalschool.com. The website masks your entered name before submission. Review submissions are accessible to the site owner and authorised collaborators and are held for moderation.
