URBAN SURVIVAL BUG-IN
Sustain and Secure
Most people assume that staying home during a crisis is the safe option. It can be — but only if your home is ready.
An unsecured entry point, three days of food, no water storage, no plan for your family — and staying becomes the most dangerous decision you made.
This 5-hour course turns your home into a functioning crisis base. You leave knowing how to secure your space, sustain your household, defend what matters, and manage the situation from inside.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Why Bug-In? — When staying is the right decision and when it stops being one. The mindset for extended home confinement.
Getting Home — What to do if crisis hits while you're outside. How to move through an urban environment and reach your base safely.
Home Security — The 5 D's — How to assess and harden your home. Entry points, perimeter awareness, layers of defense.
Home Defense — Weapons — Legal civilian options: knife, baton, pepper spray, taser, non-lethal shotgun. Guidance for licensed firearm owners. How to obtain a license.
Bug-Out Bag — Why you need one even when bugging in. What goes in it and when it gets used.
Shelter Management — Heating, cooling and lighting without grid power.
Food & Water — Storage calculation, rationing, cooking without power, water purification.
First Aid & Hygiene — Crisis first aid priorities. Maintaining hygiene when infrastructure fails.
Power & Communications — Backup power options. Staying informed without internet.
Morale & Mental Resilience — Managing your household under sustained stress. Routines, children, keeping people functional.
HOW IT WORKS
Each module is instructor-led with direct application — you assess your own situation, build your home security checklist, calculate your resource needs, and leave with a clear action plan specific to your household. The work starts during the course, not after.
